A very Full and Fun Day !

This post is about Saturday....(I am behind, having toooo much fun !)

Saturday morning, we drove with the dogs to Josh and Nicolette's house and picked them up.
Josh got behind the wheel of our car (since HE knows his way around here) and drove us first to
a great little coffee shop in Bellingham. We sat and had our coffee and then went to the local
Farmers Market. WoW ! Flowers, and fresh produce, food of all kinds, music and jewlery, pottery and so much more !
Mark found some Heirloom tomatoes and basil and cheese...his new favorite 'salad' !

After the Farmers Market, we drove out to Mt.Baker Winery. We did some sampling there and bought some wine.
We then drove out to the Alpaca Farm. It's a pretty private farm, we made an appt. to meet Alan and he gave us a wonderful tour ! There are currently 3 babies at the farm. Born in June...so, just 8 weeks old. Adorable !
The man likes to talk, so we were walking the grounds with him for about 2 hours.
It's a home that belonged to his parents. 100 year old apple trees and it used to be a working farm until about 1997 when they decided to bring some Alpaca on to the farm.
The shear them once a year and sell the fiber, they also sell off their alpaca, babies etc.
They have a little gift shop too as you leave to purchase fiber for knitting. There are other
cute things for sale as well.

After the Alpaca farm, Josh chose this wonderful Pizza, micro brewery for dinner.
Just the right thing after a busy day on the go.
Thank you Josh and Nic for a wonderful day !!!!

  1. Patti, this is so great. Thanks for allowing us to share a part or your wonderful vacation with the two of you. You'll probably never want to come home. Miss you guys at the park. Today was Molly's first day back. She had a spinal injury 10 days ago and anti inflammatory meds did the trick and she is good as new. Since the meds worked we didn't have to go the Xray route. That would have been step 2. All is quiet at the park and everyone seems to be behaving themselves. Miss you guys. Safe traveling.
