So, Just a little piece of our journey so far.
We left Lake Havasu just after noon on Tuesday August 4th.
The night before leaving, we realized our coach refrigerator wasn't working. So at 8 am our service department installed a brand new one.
We stopped at Whole Foods in Green Valley, got some meat, and other items we needed.
We drove to Mesquite NV. Solstice RV Resort for the night.

This is the Virgin River along 1-15 just north of Mesquite in Utah.

The next morning, August 5th, We drove on to Provo Utah. Nice Park, Lake Side RV Park down a rural road. It rained a bit and was beautiful that night. We grilled and took a walk with the pups.

We drove to Idaho and spent the night of August 6th, in Boise Idaho.
This night we checked into a hotel along the river. Cottonwood Suites, we
walked to dinner at Joe's Crab Shack and ate outside along the river.

On August 7th we drove to Bend Oregon. A quiet scenic drive.

Pulled into Bend about 6pm...a wonderful RV Resort called Crown Villa RV Resort.
It was the BEST RV Resort we have ever stayed at. Large grassy spots, with grass in the middle. Spotless. Although, we made our reservations so late, we ended up dry camping on the grass. We checked out our spot and went downtown in the RV to Deschutes Brewery. Being a Friday night we had to park pretty far away. We walked to the brewery, left the dogs in the RV.
We sat at the bar and had a beer. Then started to head back and saw an amazing restaurant Hola! we decided it would be easier just to eat there.
We sat on the front patio. It was delicious!

The town is quaint, reminded us a bit of Flagstaff and Aspen Colorado.
Drove back to our RV and called it a night.

The next morning, we drove through Sisters Oregon and Salem on into Portland!

What a gorgeous drive...through Sisters and on to Detroit along the huge lake. B E A U T I F U L

We got in about 7pm
Our envelope was hanging on the door of Jantzen RV Park :)

We got set up leveled and slides out and all set for the night.
The next morning, Sunday, we met up with Daniel and Maya.
Maya opened the shop, Dan came to pick us up. We went to Bunk Wonder for
sandwiches, came back to the house to eat them.

Hauling the log one last time.

Mt. Hood to Portland

Today is the day we see 'The Kids' :)
We woke up at Mt. Hood Village RV Park, after such a peaceful night.
Just beautiful ! Mark took the bikes off the rack and we had a nice morning bike ride,
a bit chilly at first....49 degrees when we headed out ~ Can you say "ReFrEsHiNg " ?
We hit the road to Portland about 10 am....Met Daniel downtown at Lloyd Center, left
the RV there and headed with him to Tasty and Sons...yum-0 !
There we met Maya and Anthony. We had a nice long brunch...some amazing foods
Like: A Tasty Muffin : Tasty muffin with fried egg, pickled beets, heirloom tomato, beecher's
cheddar cheese, red onion and mixed greens :)
Everyone had to get to work, we said good bye and would meet up tonight. Take Maya to
Daniel's place for dinner.
So, off to our RV to check in to our "home" for the week....Janzten RV Park at Janzten Beach.
We are in spot #928 :) (like our Area code)
Got settled and hung out, took a walk, also checked out the Home Depot that is within walking distance... Mark got everything he needed to wash the truck and RV windows :)
We left at about 6:45 to head to Dan and Maya's to go with Maya to Lovely's Fifty Fifty.
Our reservation was at 7:45.
Saw Dan at the Salad station. Happy guy !
What a wonderful place....very busy too.
We ordered a Margherita Pizza half with sausage. Mark and I shared a Romaine Salad with Cesar dressing and fresh parmesan cheese. Delish !
For Maya....what ever Dan decided to 'send her way' . At one point she went back to where he was working and put her hand on a fresh peach and said "This is mine"...soooo what did he do? He quartered the peach and made this wonderful dish for her ! Oh my !
We had fresh ice cream too. I had Blackberry Buttermilk. Maya and Mark had the soft serve Salted Carmel and Milk Chocolate...it was wonderful !
Maya drove us back to their house ...it was after 10pm we decided to head to the RV and
go to bed. Soooo full soooo tired !

From Weed California to Mt. Hood Oregon

We didn't leave Weed til about 8:30 am. Woke up, had coffee, took the dogs for a walk, just gorgeous 57 degrees on our walk. I love it !
We headed out on Hwy 97 (kind of a change of plan) after talking with the camp host, Susan. She said "Get off 5 and enjoy the ride" Crater Lake along the way, and the road is quiet and scenic. So, we took her advice. Glad we did.
Sooo lovely. Got some 'leaving Mt. Shasta' photos.
We drove through Klamath Falls, around Klamath Lake on to Bend.
Stopped outside Bend for lunch, just sandwiches in the RV, walked the pups.
Then through Redmond and on to Mt. Hood. A long day of driving for Mark. We made it to Mt.Hood Village RV Park :) Yeah ! Very nice....a great 'pull through' spot. We barbecued steaks, potatoes and had a salad. Walked the dogs ....no leash, they loved it ! it was their walk ! Well, tomorrow on to Portland to see 'the kids' ! Can't wait ! It's been tooooo long !
Good night now ...
